What we collect, and why.

Who we are

This site is run by the Halifax Imperial Wheelers, a grass-roots cycling organisation founded in 1924. We are the data controller for the information described on this page. To reach out to us about your data, please mail secretary@halifaximps.co.uk.

The details

The only data we ever collect from you is when you write us an email and/or when you purchase a membership using our off-site payment gateway, Stripe. We will use information you supply to us to reply to you and to help you understand more about our club, and if purchasing membership we will use the information made available to us by Stripe to check that your membership has been paid and to resolve any problems that might come up. We don't sell it, share it, or use it for anything else.

• Cookies. None.
• Tracking. None.
• Server logs. We use Cloudflare, a CDN (Content Delivery Network), to improve security and page speed. Cloudflare keeps short-lived "edge logs" (IP, request, status). We don't query them except to debug abuse.

Your rights

You can ask us to delete the email you sent at any time — just reply to the thread and say so.

If you think we've mishandled your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk. We'd appreciate the chance to put things right first, so please get in touch with us too.
